Who we are.

Hello from 3 Coasts Photo! My name is Rita, and I am the founder and principal photographer of the studio. My home is Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in Munising, nestled between Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Hiawatha National Forest. 

As an ecologist by trade and adventurer by choice, I’ve traveled all over the world taking photos of anything that catches my eye - people, places, wildlife, landscapes. Every image tells a story. My goal is to create a partnership to tell yours.

Our studio.

The “3 Coasts” name comes from a celebration of the beauty of Michigan, specifically the nearby coasts of the Great Lakes Superior, Michigan, and Huron that frame the state’s both upper and lower mitten silhouettes. 

Our studio space in downtown Munising is our basecamp. From professional portraits and indoor photo shoots to adventures out-of-doors in the places that are special to you, we’ll meet you where you are.

Our process.

We create collaborative content that captures a place, feeling, special time, and the people or animals that are a part of those moments. Our intent is to empower clients with images that forever hold meaning. Our clients are our partners in the creative process - together, we will bring your vision to life.
